Vans Warped Tour
We skated outside on a fun little ramp with bands playing in the background. Who could complain about that?

Gravity Games
I claimed Kyle Berard or T-N-T would win if ya'll remember out there. Well, Tony didn't show up and Kyle got second so I was sorta right. This time I've got pics and even some video clips.

Back Yard Ramp Jam
Much skating took place, much beer was drank, many cigarettes were smoked, much weed was puffed. It was an all around good ol' time at this years Backyard Ramp Jam. Josh asked me not to use any photos of but this ollie fakie was too good. He didn't want his parents knowing he was hanging around old dirtbag skaters drinking beer and what not. Don't worry Mr. & Mrs. Folley, Josh was a good boy. We watch out for the runts and try to keep them out of trouble. Click below or the photo above to check out more pics.

Damn Am!
It's all over. Long weekend but it was a lot of fun. This photo of Dave Mayhew doing a backside noseblunt revert is the only skating photo I got from the weekend - all the rest are my Pearl Harbor style photos of people when they're not ready. There are quite a few photos after the story so let 'em load.

CRASH
This is super old but I never posted the photos. Bill Morgan moved to Portland a while ago so the night before he left we all went skating at the park. After we finished, Bill, Ted and Glen drove off and got into a head on collision with some drunk turd. They're all okay and if you ask me they all look slightly better.

Old Video Clips I was very excited to see these. Dave Parker saved his old vids and sliced them up. These old clips of Dave LeRoux are from the old Bard ramp after it was moved to Ian Lavine's house. I really can't remember the year but I'm guessing around 1988. It's cool to see those old places and remember the good times.

Mentality Skateboard Giveaway! Correction: I mistakenly stated that Dan McFarlane was born in Minnesota. He was born in Houston but his mother was born in Winona. My mistake.
It's all over. I guess I didn't know what I was in for with this little contest. Thanks to everyone who entered and thanks to Jason Rothmeyer and John Muldoon and Google for verification. Congrats to Matt Fuller for his winning list (he had 31 verified). I had no idea there were so many Texas pros. Here's the entire list as of today. And lots of people said 'Ty Cabaya' who is also a Minnesota boy. Watch next week for a Accel Wheel giveaway!

I really wish I had photos of what happened but I don't. Danny had a historic slam during the Gravity Games and they didn't even show it on TV. So there are no gory pictures, just gory grammar.

In honor of Dan Pensyl turning pro for 5boro, the kind people at KCDC skateshop in Brooklyn decided to host a "PPP" or Pensyl Pro Party. Check out the link for photo and video of the good times. Thank You
Congratulations to Ole Gilbertson on his recent wedding. Ole is one of a handful of old vert monkeys that still skate a lot and he's one of my favorite people to skate with. Ride XP
There's another new park in town. Plymouth to be exact. And why hasn't anyone opened a skatepark at the Mall of America yet? I need somewhere to drop my parents off so I can skate.
Vegas
What a town. Most plane rides I go on I hope for the thing to crash. New York? Let's crash. San francisco? Let's crash. Italy? Let's crash. But this was different. This is going to be a great year for everyone. I broke 200 bowling on January 1st this year and since then my life is falling into place. Smashing my face was the best thing I've ever done. Life is going to be worth living this year.

Hayward Skatepark
Finally some time to get out of the house. I made it up to Hayward and Superior to do a little skating. Hey Jack sorry I didn't get to hook up. We'll do it next time for sure. Anyway I snapped some photos of the Hayward park for ya'll to check out...

X-Games Updates

8/19/02
Best trick was last night and Pierre-Luc won that too. He won with a heelflip indy 540. Don't get me wrong, that's sick and everything, but in second place was Sandro Dias with a christ nar-jar. A nar-jar is a 540 body jar and he's the only one to ever do it. He fully smacks his tail too. So he did a full christ 540 body jar. Dooner had him in first but he ended up second. Hawk got 3rd with a fakie to fakie lean mellon 540 and Bob got fourth by bluntsliding to fakie up some big extension.
8/18/02 - Strait from the horses ass what up? vert doubles was last night, tony and andy won, bob and bucky got
second, and rune and crum got third. some sick shit went down. bob & bucky
were the sickest but they fell. kf indy over fs 540, switch frontside air
over switch nose grind, bucky held a board in ollie blunt position and bob
jumped off his on to it and kickflipped out?!? frazier got knocked the
fukkkkkk out on a mute to fakie board transfer. ok, that's about it, best
trick is tonight, i'll keep you posted.....
Doon
8/17/02 Reports are in and your X-Games Vert winner this year is the underdog Pierre Luc-Gagnon. Dooner said it was hands down. Then Rune got ripped off for second place and although Dooner personally had him listed second he ended up third and flipped off the judges. Second place went to Bob - fourth place Bucky - fifth place Chris Gentry. And if anyone knows Danny Mayer, he is skating vert again and ended up 11th place.
8/16/02 If anyone cares (and I do) the vert preliminary contest was yesterday. Bob, last years winner, barely made the cut in 10th place. It was an unimpressive showcase but Pierre-Luc qualified first with Bucky close behind. The actual contest is today and I will hopefully be getting some news about what happens. Tomorrow is best trick and doubles (vert) and then the street qualifiers start on Sunday. Stay tuned to hardflip for fat assed updates...

Just when you think things will be okay life kicks you square in the balls. My little friend was taked from me last night and has left a huge hole in my heart. I wanted to give him a little tribute.
Dear Diary

Of course everyone wants to be sponsored but more often than not it leads to bad things. Usually drinking and drugs and years of sleeping on couches after shooting heroin into your cock. But there's a bad side too. Actually I just threw together some thoughts on the subject...

Buy Local
Have they ever done anything to really prevent the criminalization of skateboarding? Your local skate shop owner is much more likely to support skateboarding from a legal standpoint because they are skaters themselves. They want accessible skate terrain.

LeRoux Gets Married
Local Legend Dave LeRoux tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Christine. Cops are retarded.
